When Should I Start Therapy?

You know that you or your family member needs help, but you are unsure if you should wait or start now.

You already have so many appointments and meetings to go to, and you are overwhelmed by all the decisions you are making.

However, the best time to start therapy was yesterday.

Often, people will choose to wait until things get terrible before they act on it. This can lead to you having to work harder later to get back what you lost over time.

For instance, if you wait after a brain injury or stroke to receive services, you are missing out on a prime time to make progress in mobility, communication, memory, swallow function, and more!

It is also important that your child be evaluated if you are noticing concerning language discrepancies between your child and their peers. The speech therapist can calm your fears and determine if your child will catch up to their peers with a little help, or they will determine if your child may need a referral for additional services.

Don’t wait for things to get worse to start getting better.

What does therapy look like at Advantage Therapy Services?

Our unique therapy approach is different than what you will receive from other private practices. We focus on what is most important to you and how your specific goals relate to your everyday life. We also take pride in creating a warm environment for therapy in which we can meet with you one-on-one and get to know you as a client on a more personal level.

We are here to provide guidance and support throughout your entire therapy journey and help you reach your goals.
